Job summary

Ascension Owasso is hiring a part-time Ultrasound Technologist to perform general ultrasound and ECHO imaging at Ascension St. John Owasso. You’ll capture high-quality images, ensure accurate labeling and records, and support surgeons and clinicians with precise imaging during procedures.

Minimum credentials include BLS within 30 days and ARRT/ARDMS/CCI certifications within 12 months. A HS diploma with experience or an associate/technical degree is required.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 30 days of hire or transfer date (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
• Credential options within 12 months: CCI Cardiographic Tech, ARRT Sonography, ARDMS Cardiac/Medical Sonography, Cardiac/Vascular specialties.
• Education as stated: HS diploma or equivalent plus 2 years or an associate/technical degree.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-fidelity diagnostic images for physicians' diagnoses and planning.
• Recognize pathologies and structures to avoid missed details in care.
• Manage ultrasound equipment and ensure digital records are accurate and ready.
• Maintain a sterile, organized environment with quality control above requirements.
• Collaborate with care team to assist in specialized procedures as the technical expert.

Schedule: Part-time | Friday 2:30pm - 11:00pm, Saturday 10:00am - 6:30pm, and 2:30pm - 11:00pm one additional day during week.

• Capture high-fidelity diagnostic images to provide physicians with the clarity needed for accurate patient diagnoses and treatment planning.
• Navigate complex imaging studies by recognizing critical pathologies and anatomical structures, ensuring no detail is missed in a patient's care journey.
• Orchestrate a seamless clinical workflow by managing advanced ultrasound equipment and ensuring all digital records are precise, high-quality, and ready for immediate review.
• Champion patient safety and excellence by maintaining a sterile, organized environment and upholding rigorous quality control standards that exceed regulatory expectations.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary care team to assist in specialized procedures, acting as the technical expert to ensure successful clinical outcomes.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following:
  • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
