Job summary

Ascension Health in Tulsa, OK is seeking an Imaging Technologist to produce high‑fidelity diagnostic images for urgent care. You will ensure patient safety by following ALARA principles and radiation protocols while maintaining clinical quality during scans.

You will administer contrast, monitor patient wellbeing, and manage image labeling/upload to PACS so the broader care team can access results promptly. A strong focus on safety and precise technique is essential.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire.
• Credentialed in Cardiographic Tech (CCI) before hire.
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist credential before hire.
• ARDMS Medical Sonography credential before hire.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-fidelity diagnostic images through precise patient positioning and technical adjustments.
• Adhere to radiation protocols and ALARA principles to minimize exposure while ensuring safe care.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Produce high-fidelity diagnostic images through precise patient positioning and technical adjustments, ensuring physicians have the clarity needed to make fast, accurate medical decisions.

• Champion patient safety by strictly adhering to radiation protocols and "ALARA" principles, minimizing exposure while maintaining the highest standards of clinical care.

• Manage the patient experience during procedures by administering contrast media safely and monitoring well-being, ensuring every individual feels supported and cared for during their scan.

• Streamline the clinical work-flow by accurately labeling and uploading imaging data to digital systems (PACS), allowing the broader care team to access critical results without delay.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• One or more of the following:

• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
