Job summary

Ascension St. John Medical Center in Tulsa, OK, seeks a cardiac imaging professional to lead vascular diagnostic exams and tailor protocols to individuals. You will ensure patient safety and deliver high-quality images to support the surgical and clinical teams.

The role is full-time in Cardiac Imaging with a day shift, contributing to a mission-driven health system known for care and service. Strong credentials and experience in vascular/sonography are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active BLS Provider within 30 days of hire
• Cardiovascular credentialing within 12 months (CCI/ARRT/ARDMS) of hire
• High school diploma/Associate/Tech degree with 2+ years of cumulative experience or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive vascular diagnostic exams to detect peripheral disease and provide data for treatment plans.
• Select and execute the most effective diagnostic protocols tailored to each patient case.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort, reporting urgent changes to physicians.
• Capture and deliver high-quality diagnostic images and data to the digital record for the care team.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Lead comprehensive vascular diagnostic exams to detect peripheral disease, providing the critical data the medical team needs to build life‑saving treatment plans.
• Select and execute the most effective diagnostic protocols for each unique patient case, ensuring every scan is tailored to their specific clinical symptoms and history.
• Monitor patient safety and comfort throughout every procedure, acting as a vital clinical advocate by identifying and reporting urgent physiological changes to physicians.
• Capture and deliver high-quality diagnostic images and precise data to the digital record, ensuring the surgical and clinical teams have a clear, accurate roadmap for patient care.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following:
    • Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
    • Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
