Job summary

Ascension is seeking an Imaging Technologist for weekend, part-time shifts at Ascension St Elizabeth in Appleton, WI. You will perform diagnostic imaging procedures, ensure patient safety, and submit high-quality images to PACS for timely clinical decisions.

Minimum credentials include BLS and ARDMS/ARRT certifications with Wisconsin licensure within specified timelines. The role requires strong attention to safety, quality control, and patient-centered care in a busy imaging department.

Qualifications

• Credential(s) required: BLS within 1 month of hire date.
• Cardiographic Tech credential from CCI within 6 months of hire date.
• ARRT Radiologic Technologist with Sonography credential within 6 months; General Radiography also required.
• State licensure in Wisconsin within 6 months of hire date.
• ARDMS Cardiac Sonographer credential obtained before hire date or within 6 months.
• ARDMS Medical Sonographer credential within 6 months of hire date.
• CCI Cardiac Sonography specialty credential within 6 months.
• ARDMS Vascular Sonography credential within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic imaging procedures by adjusting equipment and maneuvering transducers.
• Identify pathology and artifacts to aid diagnostic evaluation.
• Ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance through QC and equipment checks.
• Submit high-quality images and records to PACS for medical decision-making.
• Maintain clean, orderly procedure rooms and department spaces.

• Perform routine and complex diagnostic imaging procedures by adjusting equipment and maneuvering transducers to capture high-quality images.
• Identify critical pathology, anatomical structures and artifacts to deliver accurate clinical information for diagnostic evaluation.
• Ensure patient safety and regulatory compliance by executing strict quality control standards and routine equipment checks.
• Submit high-quality images and diagnostic records promptly to PACS to enable seamless medical decision-making.
• Maintain clean, organized procedure rooms and department spaces to foster a safe and comforting care environment

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following: Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Sonography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. General Radiography is also required in addition to Sonography. State Radiology Technologist licensure issued by Wisconsin Radiography Examining Board required within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
