Ascension St. Vincent's Southside Hospital in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specializing in MRI. The role involves preparing and positioning patients, selecting imaging parameters, and producing high-quality cross-sectional images for PACS archiving.

You will conduct pre-screening and education, monitor patient data, and uphold radiation safety standards while collaborating with the imaging team to ensure accurate, timely results.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED required; associate/technical degree in radiologic tech preferred.
• ARRT/NMTCB/ARDMS credentials as applicable prior to hire.
• Ability to position patients and perform MRI/RT imaging under supervision.

Responsabilidades

• Prepares and positions patients and selects imaging parameters to produce cross-sectional images.
• Performs patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
• Enters and monitors patient data; transfers images to PACS and develops films as needed.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS with correct markers.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Prepares and positions patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
• Performs patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.
• Enters and monitors patient data, transfers images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develops film in an automatic processor.
• Follows radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Ensures prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following:
    • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Sonography specialty also accepted.
    • Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Sonography Tech specializing in Cardiac credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Sonography Tech specializing in Vascular Sonography credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
    • Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
