Job summary

Ascension St. Vincent's Riverside Hospital in Jacksonville, FL seeks a Radiologic Technologist specialized in Nuclear Medicine. The role supports cardiac imaging with day shift and PRN schedules and involves precise imaging, radiopharmaceutical handling, and patient comfort.

Qualified candidates will hold BLS, Florida radiologic licensure (or Georgia alternative), and NMTCB/ARRT credentials. We offer a hospital environment with structured safety protocols and commitment to patient care.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Radiologic Technologist credential required prior to hire in GA or FL.
• NMTCB or ARRT radiology/nuclear medicine credential required before hire.

Responsibilities

• Execute imaging procedures to capture high-quality images for interpretation.
• Operate specialized imaging equipment and position patients safely.
• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals following safety protocols.
• Submit high-quality images and data to PACS accurately.
• Provide compassionate care while applying up-to-date technical knowledge.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Execute therapeutic and diagnostic imaging procedures to capture high-quality, precise images essential for accurate radiologist and physician interpretation.
• Manage and operate specialized imaging equipment and perform accurate patient positioning to ensure the highest image quality while prioritizing patient comfort and safety.
• Handle radiopharmaceuticals by accurately ordering, preparing, and administering them in strict adherence to all established radiation safety and disposal protocols.
• Maintain the integrity of patient records by promptly ensuring all high-quality images and related data are accurately submitted to PACS.
• Combines compassionate care with up to date technical knowledge to provide patients with a sense of trust and reassurance.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Radiologic Technologist credentialed from the Florida Department of Health obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Florida license requirements not applicable to associates working in Georgia.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Nuclear Medicine credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
