Job summary

Ascension Saint Alexius in Hoffman Estates, IL, seeks an Radiologic Technologist for MRI/Radiography to join our Radiology team. You will perform imaging procedures, ensure data accuracy, and maintain safety protocols in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires ARRT or ARMRIT certification within 12 months, BLS, and a suitable educational background. We offer comprehensive benefits, tuition support, and a stable full-time schedule in the evenings.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ARRT MRI or Radiography credential within 12 months of hire.
• ARMRIT MRI credential is acceptable within 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, position, pre-screen, schedule and educate patients for procedures using correct parameters.
• Produce high-quality cross-sectional images and ensure prompt submission to PACS with data and markers.
• Enter and monitor patient data while adhering to radiation safety guidelines.
• Ensure equipment functions properly and report issues to designated personnel.
• Maintain clean and organized procedure rooms and related facilities.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • One or more of the following:
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted for Radiologic Technologist issued by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
    • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Any specialty accepted for Radiologic Technologist issued by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
    • Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
