Ascension is seeking an Imaging Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging in Milwaukee, WI. You will support scheduling, pre-screening, and clinical education, while producing precise MRI scans and ensuring high-quality data submission to PACS.

The role emphasizes strict radiation safety, equipment readiness, and patient safety in a fast-paced imaging department, with on-call shifts including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• BL s Provider certification within 1 month of hire date required.
• MR credentialing: NMTCB/ARRT MR or ARDMS MR within 12 months of hire date.
• ARMRIT MR credentialing preferred before/within hire date.

Responsibilities

• Position patients accurately and select precise technical factors for high-quality cross-sectional images.
• Manage patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education to ensure safety for imaging examinations.
• Execute patient data entry and image transfers to PACS with accurate markers.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a clean, safe clinical environment.
• Provide on-call coverage including occasional evenings and weekends.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• One or more of the following required:
  • Nuclear Medical Tech credentialed from the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Must pass the Magnetic Resonance (MR) boards through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 12 month of hire/transfer date.
  • Radiologic Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.
  • Medical Sonographer specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Must pass the Magnetic Resonance (MR) boards through American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) within 12 month of hire/transfer date.
  • Technologist specializing in Magnetic Resonance Imaging credentialed from the American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
