Qualifications

• 2+ years of diesel mechanic experience in construction equipment or rental.
• Hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engine experience on heavy equipment.
• Experience performing preventive maintenance and diagnosing malfunctions.
• Must have own basic tool set for repairs.
• Eager to learn and be trained on new equipment and tech.
• Attention to detail when inspecting, servicing, and testing equipment to specs.
• Basic understanding of schematics and welding methods.
• Safety oriented, adhering to industry and Sunstate safety standards.

Typical Schedule: Monday – Friday 7AM - 4PM (Overtime Eligible)

Pay Range: Dependent upon Experience + Quarterly Branch Performance Bonus

Location: This position will be in the shop located in Monroe, LA

Position Requirements

• You should have 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic, with a construction equipment or equipment rental background.
• Intermediate experience with hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engines on heavy construction equipment.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshoot/diagnose malfunctions and repair equipment.
• Must have the necessary basic tool set you need to perform the scope of equipment repairs.
• Eager to learn and grow; open to training on new equipment, technologies, and repair techniques to stay current in a fast‑evolving industry.
• Attention to detail inspecting, servicing, and testing equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications.
• Basic understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods.
• Safety oriented, maintaining industry and Sunstate safety standards performing equipment repairs.
