Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a Field Mechanic III in Calhoun, LA. The role requires 4+ years of diesel or heavy equipment repair experience, with a focus on maintenance, diagnostics, and field service duties.

Pay is dependent on experience and includes a quarterly branch performance bonus. The position offers full-time hours with a typical Mon–Fri schedule and overtime eligibility, plus generous perks and career growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as diesel/heavy equipment mechanic with rental/construction background.
• Military experience welcomed when it includes heavy equipment maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, Tier 4, and aftertreatment systems.
• Experience repairing construction equipment, including generators, rollers, and earthmoving equipment.
• Must provide your own tools, averaging $10,000+ in value.
• Basic computer skills for work orders, parts ordering, and service documentation.
• Ability to inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair equipment to manufacturer specifications.

Typical Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00PM (Overtime Eligible)

Pay Range: Dependent on Experience and discretionary quarterly branch performance bonus
