Sunstate Equipment Co., LLC is seeking a Technician III-Shop in San Antonio, TX. The role emphasizes diesel equipment maintenance with a strong focus on electrical and hydraulic systems, and routine servicing in a shop setting with occasional field work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years as a diesel mechanic with construction equipment rental preferred.
• Experience diagnosing electrical/hydraulic systems and Tier 4 aftertreatment.
• Proficient at major/minor repairs, inspection, and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, service, and test equipment to meet manufacturer specs.
• Perform routine service, fluid checks, and lubrication.
• Conduct novice welding (MIG/SMAW) as needed.
• Prepare accurate maintenance and repair records, including warranties.
• Support team to achieve departmental goals.

Hiring Immediately Pay dependent on Experience; PAID WEEKLY!

Typical Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:00 AM to 5:00PM (Overtime Eligible)

Pay Range: Dependent on Experience and discretionary quarterly branch performance bonus

Location: This role will be based in our shop in San Antonio, TX with the occasional need to maintenance or repair equipment in the field.

Required Skills & Experience

• A minimum 3+ years’ experience as diesel mechanic, with a construction equipment rental background preferred.
• Intermediate troubleshooting and diagnosing skills with electrical and hydraulic systems, diesel engines, including Tier 4 and aftertreatment systems.
• Experience performing major and minor repairs on diesel and gas engines, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, as well as drive trains is required.
• Must have the necessary tools you need to do the job; averaging $5,000+ in value.
• Inspect, service, and test equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications.
• Perform routine service on equipment which includes checking fluid levels, changing fluid and lubricating.
• Perform novice level welding repairs (MIG & SMAW).
• Prepare and maintain accurate records on the maintenance and repair of equipment, including warranty records.
• Team-player, you work well supporting your team to achieve goals.
