Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. in Tulsa, OK is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic for our shop. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered construction equipment to meet manufacturer specifications.

The role offers a typical Monday–Friday schedule (7:00 AM–4:00 PM or 8:00 AM–5:00 PM) with overtime eligibility and a $5,000 retention bonus paid over 24 months. Eligible for a comprehensive benefits package after the first month and a company match 401(k) after 90 days.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a diesel mechanic with construction equipment or rental background.
• Experience with hydraulic, electrical, and diesel engines on heavy construction equipment.
• Experience performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, diagnosing malfunctions and repair work.
• Must have basic tool set to perform equipment repairs.
• Eager to learn and grow; willing to training on new equipment and techniques.

Typical Schedule

Pay Range

$26+/hr Dependent upon Experience + Quarterly Branch Performance Bonus

Position Requirements

• Must have the necessary basic tool set you need to perform the scope of equipment repairs.
• Eager to learn and grow; open to training on new equipment, technologies, and repair techniques to stay current in a fast-evolving industry.
• Attention to detail inspecting, servicing, and testing equipment, ensuring performance to manufacturer specifications.
• Basic understanding of schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods.
• Safety oriented, maintaining industry and Sunstate safety standards performing equipment repairs.
