Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. is seeking a Technician II - Shop to diagnose, repair, and service diesel equipment across our rental fleet. This role emphasizes safety, reliability, and hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced shop environment.

You will work with Tier 4 engines, diagnostics tools, and welding equipment, enjoying growth opportunities, a comprehensive benefits package, and a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime eligibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of diesel mechanic experience, preferably with heavy construction or rental equipment.
• Experience with troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs of electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, diesel, and gas engines.
• Experience with Tier 4 engines and DPF, SCR, and EGR aftertreatment systems preferred.
• Must have the tools needed to perform equipment repairs.
• Inspect, service, and test equipment to manufacturer specifications.
• Understand schematics, computer diagnostic software, and welding methods.
• Diesel laptop and welding experience strongly preferred.
• Safety oriented and compliant with Sunstate safety standards.
• Be willing to learn; growth opportunities present.

Position Requirements

• Safety oriented, maintaining industry and Sunstate safety standards performing equipment repairs.
