Job summary

Sunstate Equipment Co. Calhoun, LA is seeking a Field Mechanic III to service diesel and heavy equipment at our rental yard. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain generators, rollers, and earthmoving equipment to manufacturer specs, ensuring uptime for customers.

Qualified candidates have 4+ years of diesel/heavy equipment experience, own tools, and strong troubleshooting skills; military experience is a plus. We offer paid weekly pay, benefits, and a team-first culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience with diesel/heavy equipment maintenance.
• Military experience welcomed if it includes heavy equipment maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with diesel engines, electrical, hydraulic, Tier 4 and aftertreatment.
• Experience repairing generators, rollers, and earthmoving equipment.
• Must provide own tools averaging $10,000+ in value.
• Basic computer skills for work orders, parts ordering, and service documentation.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, maintain, diagnose, and repair equipment to manufacturer specifications.
• Repair construction equipment including generators, rollers, and earthmoving equipment.
• Document service and orders and communicate findings to the team.
