Job summary

MacAllister Machinery Co., Inc. seeks a skilled technical trainer and field support specialist to maintain and repair equipment across branches in Indiana and beyond.

You will troubleshoot hydraulic, engine, powertrain, and electrical systems, deliver classroom and on-the-job training, and act as the technical go-to person for branch staff. You will coordinate with CAT, support new product introductions, and travel to multiple locations to ensure complete coverage.

Qualifications

• Must be at least a level IV mechanic with above average performance.
• Must have a reputation for coaching and mentoring mechanics.
• Must commute and spend time in all branches for training.
• Must interact with CAT to solve equipment problems and share information.
• Must work as a team with trainers/technical support personnel.
• Must be willing to be on-call at all hours to support equipment repair.
• Must be available for 2nd or 3rd shift and travel to branches.
• Must support Workforce Development plans for training improvements.

Responsibilities

• Update equipment and introduce new products; troubleshoot and repair technical issues.
• Serve as the technical go-to person for branches and provide training.
• Coordinate with CAT and share information across branches.
• Deliver classroom and on-the-job training for various equipment.
• Provide technical support across all branch locations.
• Collaborate with CAT communications and training initiatives.
• Own training initiatives in the branches and meet goals.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
