Job summary

MacAllister Machinery Co. Inc. seeks an experienced equipment technician to perform efficient mechanical repairs and maintenance on rental equipment, primarily at customer job sites and occasionally in the shop.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of technician experience, a valid driver's license, and is capable of troubleshooting complex hydraulic, powertrain, and electrical systems while ensuring safety standards and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED is required.
5+ years of work-related experience in a technician position.
Valid Driver’s License.
Preferred: vocational/technical certificate.
Preferred: Class B CDL.
Preferred: 7+ years with heavy equipment, hydraulic/powertrain/electrical knowledge.
Must have required shop hand tools.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnosing equipment malfunctions at job sites.
Cleans, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment to meet company standards.
Prepares inspection and appraisal reports.
Completely understand the operation, function, specifications, capabilities, and controls of any piece of rental equipment.
Completes all documents associated with repairs in an accurate and timely manner.
Adhere to manager’s and lead mechanic’s directions regarding all repairs and service calls.
Adheres to all safety rules and maintains quality housekeeping in the work area.
