Job summary

MacAllister Machinery Co Inc. is seeking a skilled Service Technician to perform mechanical services on equipment at job sites or in the shop. You'll diagnose, repair, and rebuild components, document service work, and ensure safety and quality while meeting customer timelines.

The role requires 3+ years in heavy equipment repair, hydraulics and powertrain knowledge, and solid computer skills. Willingness to travel and work overtime is expected.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent with diesel repair training; vocational preferred.
• Min 3 years mechanical experience with heavy equipment, hydraulics, powertrain and electrical systems.
• Good problem solving, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Moderate computer skills; experience with MS Office and databases beneficial.
• Strong customer service, communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair equipment in shop or at customer sites, including component rebuilds.
• Complete service reports, track time, parts, and serial numbers for repairs.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by meeting needs and timelines safely and effectively.
• Keep vehicles, tools, and work areas clean, organized, and in good condition.
• Follow safety rules and policies; perform duties requested by management.
