Job summary

Vultr is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our global Technical Support team, providing advanced technical support for Vultr’s cloud products and infrastructure, and serving as an escalation point for complex issues while assisting both customers and internal teams.

Candidates should have 3+ years in enterprise technical support, strong Linux command-line skills, networking knowledge, and cloud environment experience.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in enterprise technical support or similar advanced support role.
• Strong Linux command-line troubleshooting and investigation experience.
• Experience in enterprise networking to diagnose platform-level issues.
• Experience supporting enterprise customer environments in cloud/infra-as-a-service contexts.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical guidance on Vultr products and services, including escalated issues.
• Act as a first responder to platform-level alerts and incidents, assess impact, troubleshoot, and escalate when needed.
• Lead complex incident analysis, conduct root cause investigations, and propose preventive actions.
• Coordinate with system administration, engineering, networking, and other teams to resolve outages.
• Document actions, contribute to knowledge base, and improve team best practices.
• Support enterprise customers with performance, availability, and configuration troubleshooting.
