Job summary

Vultr is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to join our global Technical Support team. You will provide advanced technical support for Vultr’s cloud products and infrastructure, serving as an escalation point for complex issues and supporting customers and internal teams in diagnosing and resolving platform problems.

This role requires 3+ years in enterprise technical support, strong Linux CLI skills, networking know-how, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in enterprise technical support
• Strong Linux command-line experience
• Experience in cloud or IaaS environments
• Excellent customer service under pressure
• Ability to work 24/7 shifts
• Proficiency in English

Responsibilities

• Respond to customer inquiries with technical guidance on Vultr products and services, including complex issues
• Act as a first responder to platform-level alerts and incidents, assessing impact and troubleshooting
• Lead complex incident analysis and root cause investigations with recommendations
• Coordinate with sysadmin, engineering, and networking teams to resolve outages
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions based on incident trends
• Support escalated customer complaints with analysis, communication and updates
• Serve as escalation point for Technical Support Specialists
• Create, update, and maintain internal documentation and knowledge base
• Assist in maintaining and supporting enterprise customer environments
• Set diagnostic standards and best practices for the support function
• Participate in a 24/7 team-based operations environment
