Job summary

Motor Coach Industries (MCI) seeks a Technical Solutions Manager to provide hands-on and remote support to customers across the Western United States. You diagnose complex coach issues and coordinate with internal engineering teams to drive effective solutions.

You will travel extensively, guide technicians, use diagnostic tools, and help ensure reliable vehicle operation while documenting findings and supporting service campaigns.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; heavy-duty, automotive, diesel, or related technical training preferred.
• 5+ years hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, or repairing motor coaches or heavy-duty vehicles.
• Strong experience diagnosing electrical and electronic control systems, with multiplex systems knowledge.
• Powertrain, braking, HVAC, and diagnostic tool proficiency expected.
• Excellent technical communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced technical support on-site and remotely via phone, email, and other channels.
• Travel extensively within the assigned territory to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
• Diagnose complex electrical, powertrain, HVAC, and multiplex system problems.
• Guide customer technicians through procedures, schematics, and fault codes.
• Use diagnostic software and service tools to identify root causes and corrective actions.
• Document concerns, findings, repairs, and recommendations clearly and promptly.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Warranty, Parts, and Service teams to resolve issues.
• Support service campaigns, warranty activities, and field modifications as needed.
