Job summary

Motor Coach Industries (MCI) seeks skilled mechanics to perform advanced diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on diesel, electric, and hydrogen-fuel cell systems. You will lead juniors, troubleshoot electrical and pneumatic subsystems, and perform routine maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.

Based in Blackwood, NJ, this role requires strong hands-on ability, familiarity with diagnostic tools, and a commitment to safety in a fast-paced manufacturing and service environment.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in automotive, diesel, or related fields with engine/electrical systems knowledge.
• HV safety certification and HV maintenance/repair training are highly desired.
• CDL with Air and Passenger endorsements preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with diagnostic tools and fleet data systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair a range of engine types including diesel, electric, and hydrogen fuel cell engines.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to mechanics and helpers.
• Troubleshoot and repair engine, electrical, and pneumatic subsystems.
• Perform routine maintenance: lubrication, fluid changes, filter replacements, and wheel/tire services.
• Assist with glass installations and basic body repairs as needed.
