Job summary

Motor Coach Industries (MCI) seeks a Mechanic IV to diagnose, repair, and maintain a range of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems on motor coaches.

You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot engine and body components, and service critical vehicle systems to ensure safety and reliability. CDL with endorsements is preferred, and knowledge of Vansco, Cummins INSITE, and Fleetio is beneficial.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years of experience in automotive, diesel, or related fields.
• Familiarity with engine, driveline, and electrical systems is preferred.
• CDL with Air and Passenger endorsements is preferred but not required.
• Diagnostic tools such as Vansco, Cummins INSITE, and other tools are used for diagnosing issues.
• Fleet & Data Management Software such as Oracle and Fleetio are used to track maintenance and fleet data.
• Proficiency with computer literacy, including Microsoft Outlook and related software.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance tasks: oil/filter changes, air filter replacements, chassis lubrication, fluid checks, and tire replacement.
• Troubleshoot and repair engine, electrical, and body accessories to restore function.
• Repair or replace essential components like radiators, water pumps, hoses, and brakes.
• Install glass and perform basic body repairs when needed.
• Work safely and in compliance with workplace procedures while handling equipment and vehicles.
