Job summary

American Battery Solutions is seeking a Technical Service Engineer in Lake Orion, MI to manage service-related mechanical and electrical issues across product lines. You will handle 8D support, field service, and testing/validation of battery systems.

The role requires collaboration with Engineering and System Engineering to troubleshoot, document, and implement solutions, with travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems engineering is required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of working with complex electro‑mechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct trip reports, design analysis and proposed solutions with complete and accurate complex case documentation.
• Complete testing and analysis to verify proper functionality of battery systems as directed by Engineering.
• Lead and direct proposed solutions/improvements to processes and/or related systems.
• Address complex customer and field/warranty problems, including travel to OEMs, dealers, and field sites.
