Job summary

New Flyer is seeking a Battery Service Technician to support battery systems in-house and on-site in Auburn Hills, MI. You will work with customers, review data, and assist in root-cause investigations with the service team.

The role requires handling high voltage systems and battery safety practices, plus collaboration with engineering and production to resolve issues and uphold ISO/IEC standards.

Qualifications

• Experience communicating with customers at a technical level.
• Experience with battery interface tools (CANalyzer, CANoe, CAPL).
• Exposure to Energy Storage Systems/Power Cycles is a plus.
• Ability to analyze data to verify pass/fail criteria.
• Comfort working with live High Voltage (potentially 1000V).
• Knowledge of lithium-ion battery safety and High Voltage systems.

Responsibilities

• Service XALT batteries and components in Auburn Hills, MI lab.
• Investigate field/app issues on-site or remotely.
• Review vehicle and service data to identify root causes.
• Answer technical questions from customers about products.
• Collaborate with Engineering/Production/Lead tech on investigations.
• Support safety/quality standards (ISO26262, IEC61508, QS9003).
