Job summary

Dow Inc. in Marietta, GA is seeking an experienced Technical Service and Development Scientist to lead technical interactions with customers, understand their needs, and deliver technical knowledge on the use, handling and management of Dow products in rigid polyurethane foam applications.

You will work independently and with other scientists to develop business cases, create new products, and support trials from lab to production while collaborating across technical, commercial and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or an applied science related field (Ex. Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering, etc.)
• 6+ years’ relevant working experience (leading projects, formulating and commercializing rigid foam polyurethane products)
• Legal work authorization to work in the United States (no visa sponsorship)

Responsibilities

• Designs value-creating solutions for the customer with defined scope and impact
• Develops hypotheses, plans and executes experiments, interprets results and adjusts accordingly
• Provides technical support for trials and scale-up of products at customer locations
• Collaborates across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing departments
• Generates ideas and data to support development of intellectual capital
• Represents Dow Polyurethanes in external professional communities
• Communicates and documents work through internal reports and presentations
