Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an experienced Technical Service and Development Scientist for rigid polyurethane foams, based in Marietta, GA.

You will lead customer interactions, work with cross‑functional teams to deliver solutions, and support scale‑up from lab to production while aligning with Dow’s growth and sustainability goals. The role requires a strong scientific background, hands-on formulation experience, and excellent communication skills to guide trials and customer programs at Dow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science or related field (or military equivalent).
• Minimum 6 years’ experience leading projects and formulating/commercializing rigid foam polyurethane products.
• US work authorization; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Designs value-creating solutions for customer problems within defined scope.
• Develops hypotheses, plans and experiments; interprets results.
• Provides technical support for Dow products at customer locations and scales up new products.
• Collaborates across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing teams.
• Protects Dow’s intellectual capital when working with customers; documents work.
• Engages with external professional organizations to stay updated on technology and markets.
• Communicates findings through internal reports and presentations.
