Job summary

Dow Inc. is seeking an experienced polyurethane formulator in rigid foams to join our product and application development team as a Technical Service and Development Scientist in Marietta, GA.

You will lead technical interactions with customers, collaborate across technical, commercial and manufacturing functions, and help scale up new products from lab to production while ensuring safety and quality. You will apply scientific methods to develop business cases, create new products, troubleshoot

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or an applied science field.
• Minimum 6 years' relevant experience leading projects in rigid foam polyurethane.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Designs value-creating solutions for the customer in response to presented problems with defined scope and impact
• Develops hypotheses, plans & executes experiments, interprets results, and modifies hypotheses appropriately
• Provides technical support for the trial and use of Dow products at customer locations and the scale-up of new products within Dow
• Collaborates effectively across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing departments
• Participates in the generation of ideas and data to support the development of intellectual capital and effectively protects Dow’s intellectual capital when working with customers
• Engages in external professional organizations to stay abreast of technology and market trends as well as representing the Dow Polyurethanes brand
• Communicates and appropriately documents work in the form of internal reports and presentations
