Job summary

Dow Inc. seeks an experienced polyurethane formulator for rigid foams to join our product and application development team in Marietta, GA. You will lead technical interactions with customers and collaborate across technical, commercial and manufacturing functions to deliver solutions.

The role involves developing business cases, creating new products, supporting trials, and scaling from lab to production with strong communication across cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or an applied science related field (Ex. Polymer Science, Mechanical Engineering, etc.).
• Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience leading projects in rigid foam polyurethane products.
• US work authorization is required; no visa sponsorship is available for this position.

Responsibilities

• Designs value-creating solutions for the customer in response to presented problems with defined scope and impact.
• Develops hypotheses, plans & executes experiments, interprets results, and modifies hypotheses appropriately.
• Provides technical support for the trial and use of Dow products at customer locations and the scale-up of new products within Dow.
• Collaborates effectively across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing departments.
• Participates in the generation of ideas and data to support the development of intellectual capital and protects Dow’s intellectual capital with customers.
• Engages in external professional organizations to stay abreast of technology and market trends and represents the Dow Polyurethanes brand.
• Communicates and documents work in internal reports and presentations.
