Job summary

Dow, located at the Polyurethanes Business Headquarters in Marietta, GA, seeks an experienced polyurethane formulator in rigid foams to join our product and application development team as a Technical Service and Development Scientist.

You will lead technical interactions with customers, collaborating across technical, commercial and manufacturing functions to deliver solutions and provide technical knowledge on Dow products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a chemical/related technical field is required.
• 6+ years of relevant experience leading projects and formulating/industrializing rigid foam polyurethane products.
• U.S. work authorization is required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Designs value-creating solutions for customers with defined scope and impact.
• Develops hypotheses and conducts experiments, interprets results, and iterates plans.
• Provides technical support for trials and scale-up of Dow products at customer locations.
• Collaborates across research, commercial, supply chain and manufacturing teams.
• Generates data to support intellectual capital development and protects Dow's IP.
• Engages with external professional organizations to stay current on technology and trends.
• Documents work in internal reports and presentations.
