Job summary

Pratt Industries in Wapakoneta is seeking a Technical Sales Representative. You will be the primary liaison between Pratt and assigned customers, focusing on building relationships, identifying process improvements, and collaborating with internal teams to boost satisfaction and efficiency.

The role requires five years of outside sales experience, a valid driver’s license, and proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint. Travel is required, and a college degree is preferred in graphics or packaging.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Licenses: Valid driver’s license with safe driving record.
• Experience: Minimum of five years outside sales or related experience with college coursework.
• Travel: Frequent travel to customer locations required.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ability to collect data and generate reports.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication; effective group presentation.
• Mathematics: Ability to calculate rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Reasoning: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to carry out instructions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site visits to assess customer needs and provide solutions.
• Act as the main point of contact, communicating customer concerns to Pratt facility.
• Investigate opportunities to improve processes, including shipping methods, material redesigns, and cost reductions.
• Collaborate with Customer Service Representatives on new items and overall customer activity.
• Join local Sales Representatives to review customer production lines.
• Support QA Manager in complaint resolution.
• Work with production and Project Manager; lead Pratt projects impacting customers.
