Job summary

Trane Technologies invites students to a 12-week Summer Internship in Technical Sales across North America. You will collaborate with Sales Account Managers, learn system design and the sale of HVAC equipment, and participate in sales meetings and customer visits.

Active enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s degree is required, with preference for IT/Engineering fields. The program develops technical, business, leadership, and communication skills, with potential to join the Graduate Training

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree throughout the entire duration of the summer internship.
• Preferred in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering Technology, Engineering.
• Candidates must have completed at least their sophomore year before the start of the summer internship.
• Be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• A passion for continuous learning in technical fields, ensuring a solid foundation for understanding and communicating engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with our Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand the design, application and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings.
• Attend sales meetings; business functions; sales and service calls; customer meetings with experienced account managers and mentors.
• Understand the steps sales engineers take from start to finish on a job and be hands-on in those steps during the internship.
• Gain appreciation for the relationship with customers as you work with them as a daily point-of-contact for solution-making.
