Job summary

Trane Technologies, a world leader in climate solutions, offers a Hands-on Summer Internship in Technical Sales across North America. You will learn the design, application and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial, industrial, and institutional buildings while collaborating with Sales Account Managers.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Engineering throughout the internship.
• Candidates must have completed at least their sophomore year before the internship start date.
• U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future.
• A passion for continuous learning in technical fields and ability to communicate engineering solutions.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Sales Account Managers and customers to learn the sales process.
• Understand the design, application and sale of HVAC systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial/industrial buildings.
• Attend sales meetings, business functions, and customer meetings with experienced account managers.
• Learn the steps sales engineers take from start to finish and contribute hands-on in those steps.
• Build relationships with customers as a daily point-of-contact in solution-making.
