Job summary

Trane Technologies is offering a 12-week Summer internship in Technical Sales to develop your technical, business, sales engineering, leadership and communication skills. You’ll gain exposure to our extensive HVAC product lines and building management controls while working with seasoned mentors.

Active enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program is required, preferably in Business, Management, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing or Engineering.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a bachelor’s or master’s program for the duration of the internship.
• Preference for study in Business, Management, Sales, Entrepreneurship, Marketing or Engineering.
• Must have completed at least sophomore year before internship starts.
• U.S. citizenship or right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand the design, application and sale of systems, controls, parts and services for commercial buildings.
• Attend sales meetings and customer meetings with experienced account managers and mentors.
• Be hands-on in the sales engineering steps from start to finish.
• Build relationships with customers as a daily point-of-contact in the solution-making process.
