Job summary

Trane Technologies invites motivated engineering students to join a hands-on Summer Internship in Technical Sales. You will collaborate with Sales Account Managers and gain exposure to the design, application, and sale of HVAC systems and building controls.

Eligible interns are enrolled in an Engineering program (bachelors or masters) and must complete sophomore year by start date. The program emphasizes learning, mentorship, and potential pathway into a Graduate Training Program.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering for the entire internship duration.
• Must have completed at least sophomore year before start date.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Show passion for continuous learning in technical fields.
• Some roles may be remote, hybrid, or onsite at facilities across North America.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and provide proof of insurance; clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand design, application and sale of HVAC systems, controls, parts, and services for commercial buildings.
• Attend sales meetings, business functions, and customer visits with experienced account managers.
• Be hands-on in the steps sales engineers take from start to finish during the internship.
• Build relationships with customers as a daily point of contact in solution making.
