Job summary

Trane Technologies offers a 12-week Summer internship in Technical Sales, designed to develop technical, business, and leadership skills. You will work with Sales Account Managers, understand HVAC systems, and gain hands-on experience in the sales process.

The program prepares you for a Graduate Training Program after graduation. Open to engineering majors, enrolled for the full duration, with a focus on growth, collaboration, and real-world application across North America.

Qualifications

• Actively enrolled in bachelor’s or master’s in Engineering for entire internship duration.
• Completed at least sophomore year before start date.
• US citizen or legal right to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Passion for continuous learning in technical fields.
• Some positions may be remote while others may require hybrid or onsite at North American facilities.
• Possess a valid driver’s license for 12+ months, provide proof of insurance, no major traffic violations in 3 years.
• Travel: less than 15% in defined geography.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Sales Account Managers and customers.
• Understand design, application, and sale of systems, controls, parts, and services for buildings.
• Attend sales meetings, business functions, and customer meetings with mentors.
• Understand steps sales engineers take from start to finish and be hands-on in those steps.
• Build relationships with customers, acting as daily point-of-contact to support solution-making.
