Job summary

Convergint is seeking a full-time Sales Support Estimator to drive and manage the technology and evaluation stage of the sales process. You will be the key technical advisor, collaborating with Account Executives in a dynamic, service-focused environment.

The role emphasizes design, estimation, vendor coordination, and documentation across building automation, fire alarm, and security systems. Based in Wichita area, on-site position with growth potential.

Qualifications

• Customer focus and ability to work under pressure are essential.

• Solid understanding of engineering principles related to building automation and security systems.
• Excellent organization and multi-project management capability.
• Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Design and document moderately complex installed solutions based on project requirements and site conditions.
• Review project plans to determine requirements, gaps or risks and propose solutions.
• Prepare accurate project estimates and quotes using approved estimating tools; support RFIs and RFPs.
• Collaborate with sales to understand customer requirements and communicate value of products and services.
• Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and AHJs to meet design and project needs.
• Provide input for shop drawings, wiring diagrams, schematics and other docs to confirm alignment with plans.
• Work with vendors to secure pricing, availability, and identify long-lead items impacting schedule.
• Advise sales and project managers on products and materials required for installation.
• Prepare and review submittal packages with schematics and technical literature for contracts.
• Perform other duties as required.
