Job summary
Convergint is seeking a full-time Sales Support Estimator to drive the technology evaluation stage of the sales process, acting as the key technical advisor alongside the Account Executive. You will prepare estimates, collaborate with vendors and AHJ, and help translate project plans into accurate quotes.
Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in sales engineering or estimating, strong MS Office skills, and a foundational understanding of building automation, fire alarm, or security systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or trade education with exposure to sales engineering or estimating.
- Comfort with collaborating across teams to define project needs.
- Ability to interpret plans and specifications for estimates.
Responsibilities
- Design and document installed solutions with moderate complexity per project.
- Prepare estimates and quotes using estimation tools and respond to RFIs/RFPs.
- Coordinate with sales, vendors, and AHJ for pricing and timelines.
- Assist in shop drawings and wiring diagram reviews to meet requirements.
- Support project teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
