Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is hiring a Technical Sales Representative to support Hypersteel Cold Form Buildings, acting as a liaison between sales and customers for design support, software troubleshooting, and engineering‑related order changes.

The role requires a strong technical mindset, excellent communication, and willingness to travel up to 50% to visit job sites and customers. Competitive base salary with bonus and day‑1 benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Industry or related field with 3+ years of construction industry experience
• 2 years of steel building design and/or erection experience
• Strong understanding of customer and market needs
• Self-starter who can manage multiple projects independently
• Proficient with MS Office Suite, CRM, and ERP order softwares
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good organizational and time management skills
• Ability to travel up to 50%
• Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 lbs
• Team-oriented with customer-centric mindset

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with builders, dealers, distributors, architects and contractors
• Support multiple sales channels including direct retail and distribution networks
• Operate in a brand-agnostic environment supporting multiple product lines
• Train customers on technology platforms, products, and processes
• Create and maintain product manuals and training materials for onsite use
• Help customers understand metal building systems and installation processes
• Identify and develop new business opportunities across markets
• Collaborate with customer service, operations, engineering and sales leadership
• Assist customers with navigation of systems, processes and project coordination
• Support initiatives to expand adoption of light gauge steel building solutions
• Provide high level of customer service and manage expectations
• Visit job sites to validate inventory, compliance, and installation procedures
