Job summary

Zatkoff Seals & Packings in Farmington Hills, MI seeks an outside Technical Sales Representative to use technical skill and product knowledge to sell our seals, gaskets, and related products to current and new customers.

This full-time role includes a draw plus commission, profit sharing, a company-paid vehicle, phone, and full benefit package. Up to 100% travel required within the local area and beyond as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Formal sales training and 5 years of field sales experience.
• Relevant material knowledge in rubber and plastic.
• Analytical skills sufficient to develop solutions to customer problems.
• Communication skills sufficient to persuade others and establish trust.

Responsibilities

• Builds and maintains a network of sources to identify new sales leads.
• Communicates with customers to identify needs and suggests products.
• Works with customers to create solutions utilizing seals and related offerings.
• Demonstrates product functions based on customer needs.
• Develops and implements regional sales strategies.
• Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to client needs.
• Answers inquiries, provides quotes and bid specifications.
• Negotiates prices, terms of sales, and related agreements.
• Collaborates with purchasing and staff to ensure accurate order processing.
• Reports results and account status to management.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Travel up to 100% in local area and beyond as needed.
