Job summary

Zatkoff Seals & Packings seeks a Technical Sales Representative to apply technical knowledge and customer insight to sell seals, gaskets, and related products to current and new customers. This outside sales role requires up to 100% travel in the local area and beyond, with a base salary plus commission, profit sharing, company paid vehicle, phone, and full benefit package.

Build a network for new leads, identify customer needs, develop regional strategies, and negotiate terms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Formal sales training and 5 years of field sales experience.
• Relevant material knowledge in rubber and plastic.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities for customer solutions.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify and build a network of new sales leads.
• Communicate with customers to identify needs and propose products/services.
• Collaborate with customers to develop solutions using seals, gaskets, and related offerings.
• Demonstrate product functions and benefits based on customer needs.
• Develop and implement regional sales strategies and account plans.
• Provide information, quotes, and terms; negotiate sales agreements.
• Collaborate with purchasing and operations to ensure accurate order processing.
• Prepare and report sales status and leads to management.
