Job summary

IMCD Group is seeking a Technical Account Manager to serve as a trusted advisor for clients in the Northeast, combining technical product knowledge with strategic guidance. You will support complex product implementations, deliver training, and drive satisfaction, retention, and growth through proactive engagement.

The role requires collaboration with sales teams, frequent client visits, and up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in related technical field.
• Minimum 2 years’ sales, technical, lab, customer support, or inside sales experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to translate technical info to non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Serve as the main contact for existing core accounts in the designated Northeast region.
• Conduct frequent planned visits, interacting with key customers.
• Provide deep technical support, troubleshoot issues, and guide product implementation.
• Identify opportunities for upsell/cross-sell and align technology with business goals.
• Relay customer feedback to development teams to improve products.
• Educate clients on effective product usage through training sessions.
