Job summary

IMCD US is seeking a motivated Technical Account Manager for the Food & Nutrition sector to support the Central US region. This role emphasizes technical sales, relationship building, and business development within a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

The candidate should reside in the Central US region and will travel up to 40% with potential overnight stays. You will maintain existing business, drive margin, and land new opportunities while collaborating with principals and IMCD personnel

Qualifications

• Minimum of one to three years’ experience in technical sales.
• B.S. Degree in Science, Food Science, Business or relevant field of study.
• Proven experience in organizing sales calls and schedules, and evidence of detailed reporting.
• Proven track record in developing and maintaining client relationships.
• Proven track record in developing new sales and accounts.

Responsibilities

• Set, regularly review, and revise Call Frequency Schedule.
• Meet call plan set for each account.
• Maintain existing business and profit contribution.
• Report on business on a regular basis, review variances, and take action as required.
• Ensure margin contribution is maximized and maintained.
• Develop and progress targets.
• Progress on existing targets and identify new targets.
• Land new business and add new opportunities consistently.
• Build and cultivate relationships: thorough understanding of customer business, multi‑level relationship development initiated and planned, involve other IMCD personnel and principals.
• Submit reports in a timely manner, following guidelines for existing business reports and target business reports.
• Ensure accuracy and thoroughness of product/activity reports.
