Job summary

Winrock International is seeking a Technical Lead in Sustainability Services to advance decarbonization and regenerative agriculture work with FLAG sector clients. The position is fully remote but restricted to residents of AR, CA, CO, MD, NY, PA, VA, DC, WI, with EST/CT work hours.

The role requires 6+ years of experience, a Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred), and fluency in English. Travel internationally and domestically is required. Compensation ranges from $112,000 to $119,000 annually.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience managing technical aspects of greenhouse gas accounting in agriculture.
• Field or research experience with SOC and land use change models, GHG profiles.
• Strong communication and client service orientation.
• Familiarity with major sustainability standards (GHG Protocol, SBTi, TCAT, Value Change Initiative, SAI Platform).
• Experience with Life‑cycle assessments (LCA) and Environmental Product Declarations (EPD).
• Knowledge of FLAG commodity groups and supply chain concepts.
• Willingness to travel internationally and domestically.

Responsibilities

• Lead or support client updates, presentations, and research.
• Manage a pipeline of technical advisory requests on carbon accounting and decarbonization.
• Prepare client-facing presentations, reports, and memos.
• Conduct desk research on corporate climate mitigation and standards.
• Support proposal development and workplans.
• Perform basic to intermediate GHG and economic data calculations.
• Collaborate in small teams to deliver high‑quality products and guidance.
