Job summary

Indeed is seeking a Software Engineer VI to act as a Technical Fellow for the Interop space, owning architectural direction and guiding B2B integrations with external ATS/HRIS partners. You will collaborate with senior engineers, product leads, and executives to set strategy and ensure reliable, scalable integration platforms.

You will also mentor a team of 40-50+ engineers, drive architectural clarity, and contribute to shared standards and design documentation to accelerate growth and partner

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field, with extensive senior-level experience.
• Experience designing and evolving service-oriented architectures, distributed systems, APIs, and data platforms (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience applying AI/ML capabilities to accelerate architecture, development velocity, and integration quality at scale.
• Demonstrated ownership and accountability as a principal technical and product contributor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to influence technical direction across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own architectural assessment and simplification efforts across multiple teams or domains.
• Partner with senior engineers and business partners to guide architectural decisions and system evolution.
• Document and communicate architectural decisions and trade-offs effectively.
• Translate needs and feedback into improvements for shared platforms, tools, or processes.
• Contribute code and design improvements to internal systems with high quality and maintainability.
• Influence architectural standards and best practices across the engineering organization.
