Job summary

Indeed is seeking a Software Engineer VI to act as a Technical Fellow for the Interop space, steering architectural direction and ensuring scalable B2B integrations with major ATS/HRIS partners. You will partner with senior engineers, product leads, and executives to set strategy and drive reliability across 40–50 engineers.

You'll influence standards, document trade-offs, and mentor teams while delivering architectural clarity and growth leverage for the business.

Qualifications

• Requires a BS in CS/Math/CE/EE with 12–15 years of related experience, or advanced degrees with more.
• Experience designing service-oriented architectures, distributed systems, APIs, and data platforms (SQL/NoSQL).
• Proven ownership as a principal technical and product contributor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across engineering, product, and executives.

Responsibilities

• Own architectural assessment and simplification across multiple teams or domains.
• Guide architectural decisions with senior engineers and business partners.
• Document architectural decisions and trade-offs clearly.
• Translate needs into improvements for platforms, tools, or processes.
• Contribute code and design improvements to internal systems.
• Promote standards and best practices across the org.
