Job summary

Indeed is seeking a Software Engineer VI to serve as a Technical Fellow for the Interop space, steering architectural direction and ensuring scalable, reliable B2B integrations with external ATS/HRIS partners. You will partner with senior engineers, product leads, and executives to set strategy and maintain architectural clarity across multiple domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Math/Engineering with ≥15 years experience.
• Master's degree with ≥12 years experience.
• PhD with ≥8 years experience.
• Experience designing service-oriented architectures, distributed systems, APIs, and data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Own architectural assessment and simplification efforts across multiple teams or domains.
• Partner with senior engineers, technical leaders, and business partners to guide architectural decisions and system evolution.
• Establish and promote effective mechanisms for documenting and communicating architectural decisions and trade-offs.
• Translate architectural needs and user feedback into improvements for shared platforms, tools, or processes.
• Contribute code and design improvements to internal systems as appropriate, setting a high bar for quality and maintainability.
• Influence architectural standards and best practices across the engineering organization through collaboration and example.
