Job summary

Indeed is seeking a Software Engineer VI to serve as a Technical Fellow for the Interop space, owning architectural strategy and ensuring scalable, reliable B2B integrations across external ATS/HRIS partners. You will collaborate with senior engineers, product leads, and executives to set technical direction.

You will guide architectural changes, document decisions, and support a team of 40-50+ engineers while delivering high-quality code and designs.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree or higher with extensive related experience.
• Experience designing and evolving service-oriented architectures, distributed systems, APIs, and data platforms (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience applying AI/ML capabilities to accelerate architecture, development velocity, and integration quality at scale.
• Demonstrated ownership and accountability as a principal technical and product contributor.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence technical direction across engineering, product, and executive audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own architectural assessment and simplification efforts across multiple teams or domains.
• Partner with senior engineers and business partners to guide architectural decisions and system evolution.
• Document and communicate architectural decisions and trade-offs effectively.
• Translate architectural needs and user feedback into improvements for shared platforms, tools, or processes.
• Contribute code and design improvements to internal systems, maintaining high quality and reliability.
• Influence architectural standards and best practices across the engineering organization.
