Express Employment Professionals - Cincinnati East is assisting a well established manufacturing client in Illinois in hiring a Customer Service Representative. The role focuses on interpreting technical information, coordinating orders from entry through production, and delivering strong service to customers and stakeholders.

You will review drawings and specs, support project teams, and leverage ERP systems to ensure accurate processing, timely communication, and high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer service in manufacturing or technical settings.
• Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Knowledge of building materials or related industries preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP systems.
• Strong math, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review architectural drawings, specs, and hardware schedules to ensure accurate order processing.
• Serve as the primary contact for customers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
• Provide technical guidance and product support throughout the order process.
• Price, enter, and route orders per manufacturing procedures.
• Coordinate with production, sales, and other internal departments to complete projects.
• Maintain records and documentation within company systems.
• Utilize product knowledge to identify solutions and resolve customer concerns.
