Job summary

CFS in Madison, WI is seeking a Technical Business Analyst for a permanent role. You will collaborate with business stakeholders to understand challenges, gather requirements, and translate them into user stories and functional specs for delivery teams.

This role focuses on mapping current and future processes, identifying inefficiencies, and partnering with developers, QA, and product owners to ensure clear acceptance criteria and successful implementation.

Qualifications

• Must be able to gather requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and documentation analysis.
• Experience translating business needs into user stories, functional requirements, and process flows.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and how requirements move from discovery through delivery.

Responsibilities

• Meet with business stakeholders to understand operational challenges, goals, and process requirements.
• Lead requirements-gathering sessions and document clear, actionable business and functional requirements.
• Translate stakeholder needs into user stories, functional specifications, workflow diagrams, and acceptance criteria that development teams can implement.
• Map current-state and future-state business processes to identify inefficiencies, dependencies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with developers, architects, QA teams, and product owners to clarify requirements and resolve questions throughout delivery.
• Analyze data, business rules, and system behavior to support solution design and decision-making.
