Job summary

VersaTech is seeking a Technical Business Analyst to support the FDA program. You will elicit and translate requirements, write user stories and acceptance criteria, and analyze processes for AI-enabled solutions within a federal context.

The role blends hands-on analysis with collaboration across stakeholders, engineers, and QA, in a hybrid setup with occasional travel to client sites in Silver Spring, MD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with relevant field.
• 8+ years of BA experience in software development or modernization.
• Technical fluency to read code, REST APIs, data models and integration points.
• SQL proficiency to write queries and profile data.
• Cloud exposure (AWS/Azure) and CI/CD knowledge.
• Ability to create data flow diagrams, system context diagrams, interfaces, API specs, data dictionaries.
• Experience delivering with Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methods.
• Hands-on experience applying AI tools in software delivery (e.g., AI coding assistants, AI-assisted test generation).
• Proven ability to write user stories, acceptance criteria, and traceability artifacts.
• Experience coordinating UAT and defect triage.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to brief technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Able to obtain federal Public Trust clearance and travel to FDA College Park, MD.

Responsibilities

• Elicit, document, and validate functional and non-functional requirements with FDA stakeholders and tech leads.
• Write user stories, acceptance criteria, and process flows for a buildable backlog.
• Conduct as-is and to-be process analyses, gap analyses, and impact assessments.
• Maintain traceability from needs through build, test, and acceptance.
